Oh, The Places You Will Go! Or Not Go.

I've been thinking a lot the past week or two, and I guess I'm realizing it's coming....that point in my life where I have to get my head on straight and try to make a decision of where I want my life to go. As some of you know, I just recently transferred colleges, coming from Pennsylvania to West Virginia was definitely a big change for me, but I'm not sure it's the right change for me. It's a 7 1/2 hour drive from home. My family has always been very supportive of my decisions involving college, and even though I won't see anyone for months to come, they're happy because they know I'm in a great school with a very strong science field, my major. I've always wanted to spend my twenties in a place I would want to start my life and career, I've always loved Boston, Massachusetts & I've always wanted to try it out with my family in North  Carolina, both very different environments. Both big changes, both life changing chances. I've just been thinking, why not start my life now? Why not transfer to a place I'll want to stay? I've been looking up other schools online and I want to start planning visits for Spring break...it's just a big decision. I'll keep everyone updated, and until then I'll just be throwing ideas back and forth.

I guess it's just been one of those days.
Do you ever feel like once you start to question one decision you've made, you start to think about so many more chances you could have taken? It's tiring!

First Day Of Classes!

Surprisingly, my first day wasn't too bad.

8:00am-8:50 Statistics In Science & Research
10:00am-10:50 Pre-Calculus
11:00am-11:50 American Literature

I do miss my old college, and I'm not sure yet if this is the right school for me, but I'll give it a try! Now, I'm just trying to figure out how to pay for my books :( Back to the life of a broke college student...

Update!

After about a month of not blogging, I'm back! Boy, has it been a hectic month. I got my butt into gear for the first time in a long time, and after being accepted to Wilkes University, Concord University, University of Charleston, and Bay Path College....duum de dum...

I am now a West Virginia resident! Bye be Pennsylvania! Actually, I'm not sure if I'm that excited yet. Starting as a sophomore transfer student in the fall, it's hard because there are only 26 other transfers! It's such a small school, about 10,000 less students than my last university, but it does have a great science department and it's a beautiful campus! I'm stuck doing 19 credits this semester :( Three days a week with 8am classes, I'm not sure if I'm ready for this again haha.

My major: Dual major: Biology & Chemistry
Hours from home: Seven!
Nervous? Absolutely.

I have orientation in about an hour, so I figured I would do a quick post before then. Classes start tomorrow! Even though I'm probably going to hate it, I'm happy I'm back in school. A semester off was much needed, but I miss classes and I miss being back in the swing of things. Wish me luck !

Transfer Trouble :(

So after completing my first year of college at Edinboro University, and taking a semester off due to my mother having a stroke at the very beginning of my second semester, I am trying to figure out where to apply for the Spring 2012 semester. I applied to three universities so far, Waynesburg University, Concord University, and the University of Charleston.

I have been looking at WVU, and colleges in Colorado, North Carolina and South Carolina. As you can tell....I have no idea where I want to go. I absolutely want to apply undeclared, but I am looking to go into the forensics/Chemistry field. I'm so afraid I won't get accepted anywhere because, due to my mom's stroke, I was missing so much class and my grades last semester are nowhere near where they should be. My mom was six hours away from me at college and it hit me so hard, I didn't even have a car to come home.

I was wondering if any of my readers are attending, or visit, a college they absolutely fell in love with. The location, the atmosphere, the student body. If you do have any input that could help me, please feel free to comment, or to e-mail me personally: click here!

Last night of my freshman year in college.
It was so much fun, and I really miss these girls. I won't be returning to Edinboro University in the Fall, because my mother had a stroke in January. It's so hard, I'm going to miss school so much, but I need to be there for my mom.

Back To Class....Boooo

Today was my first day of my second semester as a freshman in college. It hasn't really hit me yet. My first semester was typical, I got here and not a thought of home ran through my mind. Now, second semester, I feel like it's going to be a lot harder for me to be in college six hours away from home, away from my family. My first class of the day was a bust. I had English at eleven, and my teacher is...I don't even know how to explain it. Let's just say she spent almost a half hour of our first class talking about her obsession with fairies? Not a good first impression for me. I have a Geography class at 3:30, we'll see how that goes I guess.

I definitely am transferring next year. Without a doubt, I don't think this is the college for me. I just can't decide if I want to stay in state, or leave. :[

Besides that, I am beyond excited for the beach this year! Ocean City, Maryland :) Can't even wait.
